Ideal for patios and verandas, the crank operated straight drop awning has a simple straight up and down mode of operating and does not require messy ropes and pulleys. The awning is rolled down using a crank, then tied off at the bottom and then the awning can be cranked up again to tension the fabric. This prevents billowing of the fabric, should it be a windy day. May be motorised or crank-operated.
